A first official glimpse at this summer’s latest season of LEGO Ninjago dropped in the most unlikely of places this morning. Rather than a low resolution version in a non-English language, LEGO themselves shared the one-minute sneak peek in high definition on their social channels.
Officially titled Ninjago Crystalized, this new season, 15 or 16; however you want to number it, will see the ninja incarcerated for unknown crimes, and locked up in Kryptarium Prison. Ultra Violet, Pythor, Ronin, and others with a bone to pick with the ninja will welcome them warmly.
The Ninjago Crystalized teaser trailer also suggests that others will don ninja outfits at some point in the season including the return of Skylor.
There’s plenty of action including a police vehicle chase that throws off Fast & Furious vibes and a station wagon chase through the desert ala National Lampoon’s Vacation. A beautiful ending shot that connects perfectly with the previous season, Seabound.
Ninjago Crystalized is expected to premiere sometime this summer, though an exact date has not been released. LEGO and Netflix will send the Ninjago fandom into a frenzy if they were to announce a date prior to it dropping.
