Lionsgate Home Entertainment has confirmed retailer listings and formally announced an October 9th release date for writer/director Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead starring Bruce Campbell on 4K Ultra HD.
The Evil Dead comes to 4K with Dolby Vision HDR and 5.1. Dolby TrueHD audio. The former, a 4K adopter favorite for picture quality, has become a staple of Lionsgate releases.
A single lone bonus feature is a previously released audio commentary with Raimi, producer Robert Tapert, and Bruce Campbell.
Lionsgate has set a $22.99 SRP for The Evil Dead 4K, Blu-ray and Digital combo pack.
