‘Pokemon Detective Pikachu’ Gets 4K, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Release Dates and Details

Director Rob Letterman’s Pokemon Detective Pikachu, the first live-action Pokemon movie, is coming to home video this summer.

The Pokemon Detective Pikachu Digital HD and Digital 4K release arrives first on July 23rd. The release date for the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD physical disc versions is August 6th.

All 4K versions will feature HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.

Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Suki Waterhouse, Omar Chaparro, Chris Geere, Rita Ora, Ken Watanabe, and Bill Nighy star in what will surely turn into a new franchise for Warner Bros. The film has earned over $425 million at the global box office thus far.

The bonus features are highlighted by a Mr. Mime audio commentary, which is ironic considering Mr. Mime is incapable of producing audio of any kind. Here’s everything included:

  • Detective Mode
  • Alternate Opening
  • My Pokémon Adventure
  • Creating the World of Detective Pikachu: Welcome to Ryme City
  • Creating the World of Detective Pikachu: Uncovering the Magic
  • Creating the World of Detective Pikachu: Action
  • Creating the World of Detective Pikachu: Colorful Characters
  • Creating the World of Detective Pikachu: Bringing Pokémon to Life
  • Mr. Mime’s Audio Commentary
