‘Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One’ Release Details and Trailer

The next two DC Universe animated movies are big ones starting with Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One, officially announced for a Blu-ray and Digital release on June 22nd, 2021. It will be accompanied by the new animated short, The Losers.

Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One is the first in a two-part story that will be told over two separate home video releases. Once Part Two is released presumably later this year, both will be available together in a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray set. For Part One now it’s Blu-ray and Digital only.

The story is based on the mid-1990s 13-issue comic book series of the same name from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale.

The ensemble cast features Jensen Ackles as Batman/Bruce Wayne, the late Naya Rivera (Glee), who passed away in 2020, giving one of her final performances as Catwoman/Selina Kyle, Josh Duhamel as Harvey Dent, Billy Burke as James Gordon, Titus Welliver as Carmine Falcone, David Dastmalchian as Calendar Man, Troy Baker as Joker, Amy Landecker as Barbara Gordon, Julie Nathanson as Gilda Dent, Jack Quaid as Alberto, Fred Tatasciore as Solomon Grundy, and Alastair Duncan as Alfred. Additional voices provided by Frances Callier, Greg Chun, Gary Leroi Gray and Jim Pirri.

Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One bonus features include the following:

  • DC Showcase – The Losers (New Animated Short) – The legendary rag-tag team of World War II outcasts – Captain Storm, Johnny Cloud, “Mile-a Minute” Jones, rookie Gunner and Sarge – find themselves marooned on an uncharted island in the South Pacific that is completely overrun with dinosaurs! Their would-be ally on this deadly mission, the mysterious and beautiful Fan Long of the Chinese Security Agency, tells them their job is to rescue the scientists that have been sent to study the time/space anomaly. Perhaps… but what is her mission?
