Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment has released the first screenshots for Wanted the videogame, based on Universal’s recent box office hit starring James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie.
The game picks up where the film left off with Wesley Gibson continuing his mission to become the ultimate überassassin. The story will also reveal more information about The Fraternity.
The signature fighting moves from the film including “Curving Bullets” and “Assassin Time” will both be available for players to use in the game. You can catch a glimpse of “Curving Bullets” in the screens below.
In addition, a multi-layered cover mechanic system has been designed to allow use of the environment and other items for cover. The details of how this system is revolutionary have yet to be revealed, though you can expect it to tie into acrobatic and stealth moves.
Wanted is being developed by GRIN studios, best known for their work on the Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter series and the upcoming Bionic Commando game. It is expected in stores this holiday season on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
