AMC’s The Walking Dead turned a corner last week as Rick and his ragtag group made first contact with a new character that kicks off the next chapter of the ongoing post apocalyptic saga. You can watch The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 11 online streaming, aptly titled ‘The Distance,’ as this fresh face tries to gain Rick’s fragile trust of anyone new. The official online stream isn’t live or free, but it will get you access to Episode 11 shortly after it airs live on TV as Season 5 gears up to enter the home stretch.
Last week’s The Walking Dead latest episode saw Rick’s group have to ditch their cars somewhere in Virginia as their journey to Washington D.C. entered its presumed final legs. With water scarce and food nonexistent, we watched as each member of the group dealt with their dire straits in different ways.
Fan favorite Daryl finally let himself emote and cried about the loss of Beth. Sasha and Maggie dealt with the loss of a sibling in completely different ways, while Abraham let Eugene know he was still upset at him by smacking a bottle of water out of his hands that someone had left sitting in the middle of the road as a gift. Even Father Gabriel, drenched in sweat, finally shed his priest collar and tossed it into a fire, a sign that he’s giving up on God rescuing them.
Tired, hot and desperate, the group found shelter from a storm inside a barn while Rick gave his “The Walking Dead” speech in a rare moment of opening up. Soon after, the group had to come together to hold back a herd of walkers trying to break in. The storm turned out to be a tornado that swept the walkers away, while the group found themselves emotionally reunited after surviving a situation they shouldn’t have.
Maggie and Sasha went out to watch the sunset when a well-spoken and well-groomed fellow named Aaron came out of nowhere to introduce himself. With two guns aimed at him, Aaron revealed he knows Rick is their leader and wants to talk to him.
The official AMC synopsis for The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 511 reads, “After withstanding a spectacular storm, Rick and the others meet what appears to be a friendly person, but find themselves mistrustful.”
