The Flash Will Cross Paths With an Arrow Villain

The Flash Arrow Crossover Clock King

A shared universe for The CW’s Arrow and The Flash opens up a world of possibilities when it comes to character crossovers. Aside from Arrow making a spot appearance in The Flash pilot, the first crossover spoilers to emerge would have been absolutely impossible to predict.

TVLine was the first to report that Robert Knepper, who plays the villainousThe Clock King, will make a trip to Central City in episode 7 of The Flash. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) tangled with The Clock King in Arrow Season 2 and Felicity ended up taking a bullet from the time-obsessed villain to notch her first battle scar and finally feel like a true member of Team Arrow.

Knepper is the first crossover villain that both Arrow and The Flash will face. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), a Barry Allen/Flash (Grant Gustin) love interest from Arrow Season 2, is already confirmed to be making at least one trip to Central City for an appearance in The Flash.

The Clock King won’t be the only villain The Flash battles in episode 7. “We wanted to give Barry a real challenge… TWO bad guys,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TVLine. “Barry will be fighting both a new enemy and one of our scariest and most successful Arrow villains in The Clock King.”

The Flash series premiere is set for Tuesday, October 7 at 8/7c. Arrow Season 3 premieres 24 hours later on Wednesday, October 8 at 8/7c.
