‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Tease Coming During Super Bowl Today

Super Bowl commercials typically feature big spots for several forthcoming summer blockbuster movies. For 2017, Netflix is going to offer the first footage from their breakout original series, Stranger Things.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Netflix has purchased Super Bowl ad time to tease Stranger Things Season 2. How long the tease is or what it might include is anyone’s best guess at this point.

EW also shared the first official image from the upcoming season featuring Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) in Ghostbusters garb. Look closely and you might notice another foot between them, likely belonging to Will Byers (Noah Schnapp).

In the background on the school’s front porch are some jack-o-lanterns so the Ghostbusters outfits are likely for Halloween. How cool would it be if they found a way to make those ghostbusting weapons work against the worst that the Upside Down has to offer?

Stranger Things Season 2 is expected to premiere this July on Netflix. The Super Bowl ad might end by giving us an exact release date.
