Hulu Plus Exclusive Home of Past South Park Episodes Starting This Fall

Kenny, Kyle, Stan, Cartman and the gang  are dialing up a new zip code this fall as all  past episodes of Comedy Central’s South Park are on the move.

Hulu has inked an exclusive agreement that makes their Hulu Plus subscription service the new exclusive online streaming home of all past South Park episodes, representing seasons 1-17. The deal will take effect shortly after the premiere of South Park Season 18 on September 24.

Catalog episodes of South Park were previously available to online stream for free at SouthParkStudios.com and at one time before on Netflix. South Park Studios began offering online streaming the show for free in 2008 but that will formally will end on September 24 with the new deal between Viacom and South Park creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

Between now and September 24, all 244 episodes of South Park are available to watch online free streaming at either SouthParkStudios.com or Hulu. Once September 24 rolls around, every one* of those episodes will only reside behind the Hulu Plus pay wall for a monthly cost of $7.99.

*The silver lining, if you can call it that, is that both Hulu (not Plus) and SouthParkStudios.com will offer online streaming of Season 18 episodes the day after their premiere on Comedy Central. In addition, both of those sites will also offer a rotation of 30 random South Park episodes that can be streamed for free. If you want to watch them all then Hulu Plus is the only way to go.

A logical assumption is that Viacom and South Park Studios will, at some point after September 24, begin pulling  down the countless South Park clips and entire episodes that reside on YouTube. If you want the complete collection of South Park episodes in digital format then I’d recommend you start collecting them now.
