There are a ton of fantastic LEGO toys coming in support of The LEGO Ninjago Movie later this summer sure to test the fortitude of wallets across the world.
One of those sets, Nya’s Water Strider vehicle, has stirred up the right kind of controversy. Not because of what it includes, but how cheaply LEGO has priced it.
According to the official press release, the Water Strider is priced at $29.99 with 494 pieces and four mini-figures. That puts its cost-per-piece at a mere $0.0607 cents, several cents below the expected price of around $39.99.
Is this $29.99 price a typo or has LEGO aggressively priced the Water Strider. There’s only one way to find out for sure.
We reached out to LEGO’s public relations arm to clarify once and for all the price Nya’s Water Strider vehicle. The answer speaks for itself, “The Water Striker is in fact $29.99.”
Look for the Water Strider, 12 other sets and 20 CMF figures from The LEGO Ninjago Movie in stores on or around August 1st.
