Sleepy Hollow Renewed by Fox for Second Season

Sleepy Hollow Renewed by Fox for Second SeasonFox Broadcasting Company has picked up the fantasy thriller Sleepy Hollow starring Tom Mison, Orlando Jones and Nicole Beharie for a second season consisting of 13 episodes following a huge premiere and subsequent strong ratings.

Sleepy Hollow was quite alive when its pilot premiered to approximately 10 million viewers. The headless horseman and Ichabod Crane’s clashes in modern times extended its viewership to 13.6 million when live+3 usage (DVR viewing up to three days past the premiere date) was taken into account. Even after its strong premiere, Sleepy Hollow has managed to keep the majority of its audience around with minimal shedding despite going up against ESPN Monday Night Football and NBC’s The Voice.

“Sleepy Hollow” has proven to be a risk well worth taking. It’s a conceptual blast unlike anything else on television and it all holds together with inventive writing and a fantastic cast,” said Fox Broadcasting Company Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly. “I can’t wait for fans to experience what else is in store for this fall and even more of this wild ride into season two.”

Phillip Iscove, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Len Wiseman created Sleepy Hollow for Fox Television with Orci, Wiseman and Kurtzman all serving as producers. Len Wiseman directed the pilot episode.

If you want to jump in on the Sleepy Hollow phenomenon, tune in to catch the next episode ‘The Lesser Key of Solomon’ this upcoming Monday at 9/8c on Fox.
