I have always thought Blu-ray would be a mainstream format and begin to overtake DVD when some of the kid shows like Baby Einstein and Power Rangers made their onto the format. Now we can officially cross the latter off the list.
Liosngate Home Entertainment will debut the Power Rangers first Blu-ray release, Power Rangers Super Samurai: The Complete Season, on December 4. A DVD version will also be available for the series currently airing on Nickelodeon that wraps up on December 1, but for the first time those Power Rangers will be battling on a high definition disc.
Lionsgate is ensuring the Power Rangers come to Blu-ray in style. The disc will feature 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and 1.78:1 1080p video. Bonus features include a trio of featurettes.
