NFL Monday Night Football Free Live Stream: Bears at Cowboys

NFL Monday Night Football tonight features the 2-1 Chicago Bears trekking down to good old Texas to take on the 2-1 Dallas Cowboys in HD on ESPN. It’s a battle of teams that have registered up-and-down performances early this season, with both playing for a first place tie in their respective divisions with a win tonight. Live online stream options are available for this game at the end of this post.

Chicago is hoping quarterback Jay Cutler can continue to build off a positive performance in a win over St. Louis last week and not continue the good-bad-good pattern of his early season that would next present a loss. The Bears were able to convert 20 first downs last week and win handily by a 23-6 margin.

A big reason for Chicago’s win last week was the defense who racked up six sacks and two interceptions. Thus far, the Bears D has put the opposing team’s quarterback on the turf with a sack fourteen times, the league high.

A solid defense is not exactly what Tony Romo and the Dallas offense need to encounter right now. Romo led his Cowboys to a 16-10 victory over Tampa Bay last week, but the Cowboys offense committed three turnovers and coughed up four sacks. The team has a whole was penalized 13 times for 105 yards. The Cowboys will need to establish a running game early and protect the ball to keep the Bears defenders from all-out attacking Romo with blitzes.

On paper the Bears should take this game despite playing on the road. Their offense is playing better of late and the defense is proving to be one of the league’s best. Dallas has shown flashes of brilliance, but have been beating themselves more than their opponents. I’m looking for the Bears to win a low-scoring and mistake-heavy affair.
