Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon Adds Additional Multiplayer Modes Including Polterpup

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon Adds Additional Multiplayer Modes Including PolterpupNintendo used their Nintendo Direct presentation earlier this morning to announced two additional multiplayer modes for the upcoming 3DS exclusive Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, as well as share new gameplay footage that shows these new poltergeists have personality to share.

The first new multiplayer mode that joins previously announced Hunter Mode is called Rush Mode. The objective is for one to four players to clear each floor of a mansion within a time limit to reach the next floor and continue.

Polterpup Mode requires one to four players to search mansions and collect hidden polterpups, i.e. ghost dogs.

All the multiplayer modes will be available play via local wireless, Download Play or over the Internet. As Nintendo warns, “up to four game cards may be required.” Get a taste of the new modes and ghosts in the trimmed Nintendo Direct video below.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon falls into the “must-own” category for us when it arrives in stores on March 24, 2013.
