Hotel Transylvania has had no problem booking guests during its theatrical run, and will next set its sights on dominating the home video chart when it comes to Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD early next year.
Online retailer Amazon.com has begun taking pre-orders for Hotel Transylvania in hopes of taking advantage of the Sony Pictures Animation hit while it still sizzles at the box office. To date, Hotel Transylvania has earned over $119 million at the domestic box office and should forge another strong performance this weekend with Halloween just around the corner.
Sony has packaged the Blu-ray 3D version of Hotel Transylvania to include the Blu-ray 2D and DVD discs. Likewise, the Blu-ray version will include the DVD, and both versions will include an UltraViolet copy.
Hotel Transylvania is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky and stars the voices of Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, Fran Dresher, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi and more.
