Exclusive: Blue Velvet Blu-ray Clip ‘Human Ear’

David Lynch’s Blue Velvet comes to Blu-ray tomorrow with over 50 minutes of lost footage that will make its public debut in celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary.

Jason is already hard at work on our Blue Velvet Blu-ray review, but I’ve got a couple posts to share before that gets published. First is this two-minute exclusive Blue Velvet Blu-ray clip that shows Jeffrey (Kyle MacLachlan) discovering the severed human ear in a field. This discovery leads into an investigation by Jeffrey and the daughther of a police detective who wasn’t doing enough to solve the mystery for Jeffery’s liking, and ultimately drug addicted Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper).

Blue Velvet earned Lynch an Academy Award nomination for Best Director, and a Gloden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Dennis Hopper.

Watch the exclusive Blue Velvet Blu-ray clip below, and look for Blue Velvet on Blu-ray in stores beginning tomorrow, November 8.
