Disney Infinity The Lone Ranger Play Set Horse Racing Footage

Disney Infinity The Lone Ranger Play Set Horse Racing FootageWhen Disney Infinity and its extensive line of toy figures, Play Sets and Power Discs arrives in stores this fall, the Cars Play Set won’t be the only one that involves racing against opponents and the clock at top speed. The Lone Ranger Play Set has some racing mechanics of its own that revolve around four-legged modes of transportation as opposed to four-wheeled racing machines.

During a pre-E3 event last week, I had the opportunity to go hands-on with Disney Infinity and see the new Lone Ranger Play Set up close and personal. It definitely offers a different feel than the other Play Sets; a family friendly versions of Red Dead Revolver, if you will, where horses and firearms are the two most important keys to survival.

To recap what has already been announced, the Disney Infinity Lone Ranger Play Set includes Tonto (Johnny Depp) and Lone Ranger (Armie Hammer), along with the translucent Play Set piece that brings the world to life. It will retail for $34.99 and be available when the game launches on August 18.

The horse racing footage you see below is from one of many challenges that the Lone Ranger Play Set will offer. In this case, seven checkpoints must be crossed before the timer runs out. There is only one rider in motion here; however, a second player could have joined in and made it a head-to-head race as well.

Pre-order the Disney Infinity Starter Pack on the console of your choice at Amazon.com and earn a free figure and Power Disc pack for doing so ($17.98 value). You can also pre-order the Lone Ranger Play Set as well.
