Another retail leak from a few months ago that suggested “Crystal” variant figures were coming to Disney Infinity was proven true this morning when Toys R Us announced Crystal Lightning McQueen will be exclusive to their store and available to purchase during the game’s launch this upcoming Sunday.
Crystal Lightning McQueen is the first in the Infinity Crystal Series, a Toys R Us exclusive line of figures and Power Discs with Crystal designs and special in-game abilities, powers and gadgets. Also available at launch, exclusive to Toys R Us and considered the 21st Power Disc is Mike’s Car. Exclusive Power Disc packaging has been created for Toys R Us that will include Mike’s Car in random packages.
To meet the demand for Disney Infinity and try to lure buyers away from other retailers, Toys R Us is not only offering Crystal Lightning McQueen to purchase, but they are opening their doors early Sunday morning at 8am across North America. I would expect each Toys R Us store to have more than enough Crystal Lightning McQueen figures on hand for interested buyers.
