Dexter to Admire John Lithgow

Dexter has a new villain and he is no stranger to wearing a psychotic face.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Showtime has snagged acting vet John Lithgow to co-star in the fourth season of Dexter. Lithgow is on tap to appear in all 12 episodes.

In season four, Miami will once again find itself terrorized by a serial killer, played by Lithgow’s Walter Simmons character. He’s a new resident to the south Florida community after being chased there by persistent FBI agent Frank Lundy.

Simmons is described as “an unassuming, mild-mannered suburbanite who has been living a dual life as one of America’s most prolific serial killers, dubbed the “Trinity Killer” because of his proclivity to kill in threes.”

Dexter: Season Four will premiere exclusively on Showtime on September 27. Season Three will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on August 18.
