Charlie Sheen Enlists Denise Richards for Anger Management; First Promo Rises

Charlie Sheen Enlists Denise Richards for Anger Management; First Promo RisesCharlie Sheen has enlisted his ex-wife Denise Richards for an Anger Management guest starring role. In addition, the first promotional spot for the upcoming FX comedy series has risen and takes a jab at Sheen’s demise from Two and a Half Men.

According to TV Line, Richards will play Lori, the business partner of Sheen’s on-screen ex-wife, Jennifer (played by Shawnee Smith). That’s a lot of on and off-screen ex wives going on, but I’m sure Charlie will be able to hand it just fine. Despite the former couple’s volatile past, this brief coming together should put a smile on Charlie and Denise’s real-life kids’ faces.

For this first short Anger Management promo spot, FX and Sheen have his character, also named Charlie, talking from within a coffin. It’s a sly reference to his fate on Two and a Half Men that ultimately drove Sheen to FX and greener pastures.

Anger Management is loosely based on the 2003 film of the same name starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. Sheen plays a former baseball player with some serious anger baggage who, of all things, ends up becoming an anger management therapist. Selma Blair co-stars as another therapist and likely love interest.

Anger Management will likely open to big ratings for FX when it premieres on Thursday, June 28 at 9/8 central.
