Online retailer Amazon.com is gearing up for the big “May the Fourth” Star Wars celebration next weekend by using the Force for their new Blu-ray Deal of the Week.
From now through next Saturday, May 4, Amazon has heavily discounted the price of both the Original Trilogy and Prequel Trilogy Blu-ray sets. Each set is typically priced in the range of $45-48. For the next seven days, you will be able to pick up either or both for $32.99. That works out to 53% off the list price.
This one-week sale does not include Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray. It is specifically for the Trilogy Blu-ray sets only. It’s not hard to imagine why. The Saga Blu-ray has always been more popular than the Trilogy sets so Amazon likely has some extra stock to unload. What better time to do so than May the Fourth!
