Welcome to HDR

This upcoming weekend sees Matt Damon with 30 lbs of extra fat in Steven Soderbergh's The Informant!, Megan Fox in Diablo Cody's Jennifer's Body, Sony's 3D animated Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Universal's Love Happens with Jennifer Aniston all vie to take out Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself which ran away with an easy win last weekend.

If you haven't already, be sure to register and enter your predictions for how much money these five films will make from Friday through Sunday. Once that's done you can return here to watch the average of all the player predictions update in real-time. The final results will be published Monday evening (view the weekly and cumulative leaderboards here) and the next game will launch the following morning.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
3,000 screens, the most this weekend, combined with higher 3D ticket prices should lift Meatballs to victory. Kids and parents will have a tough time turning down giant pancakes falling from the sky. I'm getting hungry writing about it.

The Informant!
The Informant! comes in on 2,400 screens riding the shoulders of a chunky Matt Damon. The ads prey on the film's humor but early mixed critical reaction and Friday word of mouth *could* have a negative impact on ticket sales. Or Matt Damon's presence could rule the roost.

Jennifer's Body
From the writer of Juno and starring the sweaty hot chick from Transformers. Is that enough to push this Species-esque horror thriller with hip dialogue and social commentary to a big weekend? 2,500 screens and the male population's obsession with Megan Fox help, but poor early reviews do not.

Love Happens
Nevermind the irony of Jennifer Aniston and "Two-Face" getting together. Love Actually is Aniston's first wide release since He's Just Not That Into You which opened to nearly $28 million. That film benefited from over 3,100 screens while Love Happens is on 1,800, the lowest of the newcomers.

I Can Do Bad All by Myself
Tyler Perry's latest hit cruised to an easy win last weekend with $24 million but should be overwhelmed by a stronger field the second time around. The Informant! will likely steal the biggest chunk of Perry's momentum. Expect a minimum 50% drop from the first weekend.
