Weekend Box Office Predictions Game: Justin Bieber Fever

The cobwebs have been dusted off and our Weekend Box Office Prophet Game has returned! In the last round that feels like it occurred ages ago, the players scored a decisive 4-1 victory over the Prophet with top finisher moviebob scoring the jackpot prize. This Justin Bieber flavored round the prizes reset with The Tournament on Blu-ray up for grabs.

To play you have to predict what The Roommate, The Eagle, Gnomeo and Juliet, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, and Just Go With It will make at the box office from Friday, February 11 through Sunday, February 13. Four of these five films are new this weekend so it won't be easy.

Your predictions will be averaged in with everyone else to go up against the Prophet prediction. Should the Prophet win 3 of the 5 films then the prize will roll into next week and be joined by another while the top player finisher gets a consolation gift. If the Prophet loses then the top player finisher takes home the prize.

The average player scores will update in real time below as new predictions are entered. This round's entry period will close at 8pm PST Thursday, February 10. Good luck and remember: Valentine's Day is on Monday.

The Eagle
Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell don armor and go out looking for action in this Focus Features release. I've seen a lot of ads for The Eagle but they make it look like a 300 rip-off more than anything else. Of the four new movies this weekend it opens on the fewest screens: 2,150.

Gnomeo and Juliet
It's animation! It's a love story! It's in 3D! But are gnomes really going to be a big draw for Valentine's Day weekend? The poster of a gnome mooning everyone might make you want to think twice about that one. It could pick up some desperate brothers of sisters who force them to the theater to see Bieber. Gnomeo and Juliet opens on 2,700 screens.

Just Go With It
Sony is hoping this Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston comedy will be the Valentine's Day movie breakout hit of this year much like Valentine's Day the movie was last year. Before you predict think about how unfunny the ads are and how irrelevant Aniston and Sandler have become. Just Go With It opens on 3,400 screens.

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never
Bieber fever will reach new levels of insanity when the story of the underage YouTube sensation's rise to stardom is chronicled on the big screen. Pushing the potential earnings of Never Say Never even more is the film will be released in 3D and there's a clever "purple glasses" viral campaign going around. Bieber opens on 3,000 screens.

The Roommate
The lone holdover from last weekend will have a tough time cracking the top 3 this week and may even fall out of the top 5. The Roommate took in $15 million its opening weekend but has fallen to the James Cameron-produced Sanctum 3D the past two weekdays. This is an easy single-digit prediction to help balance out the potential big miss on Bieber.
