I would have guessed we'd get a scene or maybe two of the survivors chatting in the moving RV or some other safety zone. Instead the one-minute clip begins in the woods where a zombie walker is approaching a large tree that a disheveled Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is hiding behind. The camera pans down to reveal Rick is holding onto a mighty large rock, one that seconds later he pounds into the head of the zombie walker with gruesome results.
But wait, it gets better. Immediately after the first zombie is laid to rest, a second walker comes stumbling through the foliage. Rather than take any chances, Rick throws the rock a good 10 feet or so square into the walker's face. It drops, and then the camera switches to the zombie's point-of-view. After a brief pause, Rick smashes the rock down into the camera.
The Walking Dead is set to make a big splash during its panel this upcoming weekend at Comic-Con. New footage has been promised which will hopefully be different than the one-minute tease we got tonight.
Look for season 2 of The Walking Dead to premiere sometime in October on AMC.
