 Twilight Eclipse Headed to ImaxDecember 10, 2009
Summit Entertainment and Imax issued a joint statement stating that the supersized Imax version of Eclipse will arrive on June 30, the same day the film debuts in traditional theaters.
Eclipse is already projected to earn more than the $140 million opening scored by The Twilight Saga: New Moon by benefit of it bowing just in front of the busy July 4th weekend when kids are out of school. The previous two Twilight films opened in November.
The addition of Imax screens with higher ticket prices should drive up Eclipse's box office numbers even higher and possibly make it a threat to score the highest opening of all time.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be the first film in the Twilight series to be digitally remastered for an Imax release.
