The Office Goes Blu-ray in September

NBC and Universal Studios Home Entertainment are planning to debut the Office on Blu-ray September 8 with recently wrapped season five.

All 26 episodes of the popular comedy starring Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson and Jenna Fischer, amongst others, will span 4 discs on Blu-ray.

Tech specs have not yet been revealed to retailers by the studio but a safe bet is 1.78:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.

The Office joins Battlestar Galactica and Heroes as the only TV shows to be released on Blu-ray by Universal.
