 The Last of the Mohicans Director's Definitive Cut Blu-ray AnnouncedAugust 08, 2010 Fox Home Entertainment has announced plans to deliver a new definitive director's cut of Michael Mann's The Last of the Mohicans starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Madeleine Stowe to Blu-ray Disc on October 5 ($34.99 SRP).
The new cut from Mann adds an additional 2 minutes of footage to the theatrical version, bringing the total runtime of The Last of the Mohicans on Blu-ray to 114 minutes. There does not appear to be an option to watch the theatrical cut based on the press release's wording. The Last of the Mohicans on Blu-ray will be presented in 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Bonus features include a Commentary by Director Michael Mann; The Making Of The Last of the Mohicans featuring new interviews with Daniel Day-Lewis; and the Theatrical Trailers.
