 Real Steel Blu-ray Pre-Orders the Real DealOctober 30, 2011 Real Steel starring Hugh Jackman and Evangeline Lilly is still throwing punches at the box office, but that hasn't stopped Disney from launching the film's Blu-ray campaign well ahead of its expected release date.
In conjunction with online retailer Amazon.com, Disney is offering a pre-order for the Real Steel Blu-ray, DVD and digital copy combo pack for $31.49, or 30 percent off the $44.99 list price. To sweeten the deal further, there's an Amazon coupon digital coupon that knocks another $5 off the price, bringing the total to $26.49. Interest in the Real Steel Blu-ray and DVD combo at this price is surging. As of early Sunday afternoon, the title stood in the fifth spot on Amazon's hourly updated Blu-ray bestsellers chart. That puts it ahead of Disney's own Cars 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and only one spot behind the upcoming release of J.J. Abrams' Super 8. Real Steel does not have a home video release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime in January 2012.
