Possible Trick 'r Treat Blu-ray Release Date

Fangoria is reporting a rumor suggesting Warner Premiere's Trick 'r Treat is scheduled to debut on Blu-ray Disc and DVD October 27.

Michael Dougherty's oft-delayed film completed over three years ago was earlier confirmed by Warner Premiere for an October release. With the Halloween tie-in let's be honest; October 27 is the only logical choice.

Trick 'r Treat stars Anna Paquin of True Blood, Quinn Lord of Virtuality, and Tahmoh Penikett of Battlestar Galactica and Dollhouse fame.

Per IMDB, the film follows five interwoven stories: A couple finds what happens when they blow a Jack-o-Lantern out before midnight, a high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer, a college virgin might have met the right guy for her, a group of mean teens play a prank that they take too far, and a hermit is visited by a special trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick.

Expect an official announcement in the coming weeks with disc specs and cover art. In the meantime, the most recent Trick 'r Treat trailer is available on the official website.
