Possible Batman 3 Announcement Early Next Year

Everyone has been starving for some sort of concrete Batman 3 news yet Warner Brothers and Christopher Nolan have remained mum while the pair focus on wrapping up Nolan's Inception and preparing for a marketing blitz in 2010. So here we are reporting on news of future potential Batman 3 news. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Per mega Batman fansite Batman-on-Film.com, Warner will be making a third Batman film whether Nolan is on board or not. A reliable source has told them the studio could make an official announcement as early as January 2010.

Whether Nolan returns or not at this point is anyone's best guess. Some speculate he has already signed on the dotted line but the studio will remain silent as to not detract from Inception. The argument against shielding an announcement is once Nolan begins making the media rounds for Inception, he will be grilled with Batman 3 questions whether he is on board or chose not to return.

Right now Warner is apparently operating under the assumption that Nolan will return and continue his story. Even if he does not, the studio is preparing a backup plan to keep The Dark Knight's sequel on track for what could potentially evolve into a 2011 release.
