Paranormal Activity Blu-ray Details and Cover Art

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced plans to release the low budget horror sensation Paranormal Activity on Blu-ray Disc and DVD December 29.

Paranormal Activity was made for the price of a cheap new car and has already grossed over $100 million domestically at the box office. With Paranormal Activity 2 already in the cards, the phenomenon is here to stay for awhile.

The Blu-ray edition of Paramormal Activity will be presented in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. A standard definition digital copy will be exclusive and housed on a second disc.

Both DVD Blu-ray editions will include an unrated cut and an alternate ending not seen in theaters (but available online if you look hard enough for it). Though not confirmed by Paramount Home Entertainment, their theatrical arm did announce a massive list of "supporters" who typed their name into a website during the viral marketing campaign will appear on the DVD and Blu-ray editions.

Paramount has given the Blu-ray of Paranormal Activity and abnormal $40.99 SRP considering what it comes with. Amazon.com currently lists the SRP at $48.99 but that should be revised down in the very near future.
