Revolution was developed by Abrams along with Eric Kripke. The intriguing concept follows a group forced to survive and seek out their loved ones in a world where energy in any form no longer exists. It's a twist on the post-apocalyptic thriller where humanity appears to be mostly intact but must revert to primitive means of living. Twilight's Billy Burke, The Cape's David Lyons and Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad headline the ensemble cast (pictured below).

The New Normal follows the blended family comedy trend that is all the rage. The setup is a surrogate mother lives with the two gay men whose baby she is helping them have. Justin Bartha (The Hangover), Andrew Rannels (The Book of Mormon) and Georgia King star.

Ryan Murphy is either showing his range with The New Normal or fans of his hit series American Horror Story should cross their fingers and toes that the new project in no way, shape or form influences the other.
