GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra Movie Cobra Commander Revealed

An Ebay toy auction brings us the first look at Joseph Gordon-Levitt donning his Cobra Commander attire as seen in GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

Your first reaction will likely be similar to ours... a big WTF? Leaked images of Destro remained relatively faithful to the iconic 1980s look but this design comes barreling out of left field.

On the flipside, the old school Commander outfits with either a hood, chrome metal face plate or battle armor are better suited for conventions than a live-action movie. Or maybe not with a little modern tweaking.

Something tells me this get up will evolve into something more recognizable as the Cobra organization takes shapes heading into a potential sequel. We'll have to wait and see.
