Bridesmaids Unrated Blu-ray Release Date and Details

Update: Universal today formally announced that Bridesmaids on Blu-ray and DVD has a release date of September 20. Furthermore, the Blu-ray and DVD versions will include the theatrical cut and a new unrated cut that runs six minute longer at 2 hours and 11 minutes.

Bridesmaids on Blu-ray will be presented in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. In addition to a packed in DVD and digital copy version, additional bonus features will include the following:

DELETED SCENES: Tons of deleted scenes, plus a never-before-seen "commercial" for Brynn and Gil's Oo-Laka Juice.
EXTENDED & ALTERNATE SCENES: Tons of extended and alternate scenes featuring the bridesmaids, the boyfriends, the roommates, Cholodecki's employees and customers, and the hilarious "stolen" boot camp class.
MADE OF HONOR: BEHIND THE SCENES OF BRIDESMAIDS: A behind-the-scenes "Making Of" the film featuring Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, writer Annie Mumolo, director Paul Feig and producer Judd Apatow, among others.

Original article (June 18, 2011): Universal's surprise R-rated comedy Bridesmaids starring Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper and Jon Hamm is now available for pre-order on Blu-ray and DVD combo at online retailer Amazon.com. A release date has yet to be announced.

Bridesmaids, from director Paul Feig and producer Judd Apatow, has earned over $131 million at the domestic box office since its mid-May debut. It could finish its theatrical run at $140 million or higher.

Amazon's Blu-ray pre-orders for Bridesmaids total three different skus: a Blu-ray and DVD combo in a Blu-ray package; a Blu-ray and DVD combo in a DVD package; and a Blu-ray and DVD combo packaged side-by-side. All carry the same $39.98 SRP.
