Avatar Sex Scene Possibly on Blu-ray, DVD Release

In James Cameron's Avatar, Na'vi princess Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) mates with Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) while he is piloting his Avatar. The scene cuts short before any real mating is observed, but apparently the original cut takes the love making further.

Cameron recently addressed the scene to a group of journalists, "We had it in [the PG-13 movie] and we cut it out," Cameron said. "So that will be something for the special-edition DVD, if you want to see how they have sex."

And how might that be? Saldana has been quoted as talking about "syncing" between Jake and Neytiri using the tentacle-like ends of their tails. This is how the Na'vi communicate with creatures and the planet so it makes sense for two people to hook up using the same means.

As long as Avatar continues to steamroll the competition at the box office, it could be several more months before we catch wind of an Avatar on Blu-ray or DVD announcement.
