He’s definitely a psycho. Apparently he’s a killer as well. Meet the newest Joker as portrayed by Jared Leto in Warner’s Suicide Squad movie, making his first appearance in a full body shot courtesy of the latest Empire Magazine cover.
This new Joker looks a lot more fierce than his predecessors played by Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger. Maybe it’s the eye makeup and accompanying cowl; I dunno. But he’s definitely been shot with a lot of attitude for his new image premiere.
Making a fashion statement is apparently high on the Joker’s priority list judging by Leto’s get up that director David Ayer likely had a big hand in. Apart from the slicked back green hair and tattooed chest, Joker is wearing a hot purple snakeskin trench coat with matching cane, sweatpants from Arkham Asylum, and absolutely no shoes on his feet. He looks like he’s about to attend a villain party somewhere.
Suicide Squad opens in theaters everywhere on August 5, 2016. We might see the Joker sooner in March’s Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice.
