The first trailer for The Guest, the new film by Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett (You’re Next) has hit and if the teaser is any indication, the film looks to thrill.
Starring Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey), Maika Monroe (The Bling Ring) and Lance Reddick (TV’s LOST), The Guest is the story of an Iraq War vet (Stevens) who shows up one day at the home of a fallen squad mate and then begins to integrate himself into the lives of that family.
The trailer is just under a minute in length, but the images and music help create a tense atmosphere that borders on horror. The Guest was well-received at Sundance this past January, and looks to scare in September.
The Guest is not-yet rated and opens in theaters on September 17.
