Michael Rooker Potentially Confirms Yondu in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Michael Rooker Yondu Avengers: Infinity War

Another Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 character is a virtual lock to appear in Avengers: Infinity War next year.

Michael Rooker, otherwise known as Yondu in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, took to Instagram earlier today and shared what at first appears to be an innocent picture with some lucky Starbucks baristas.

Upon closer inspection there are two pieces of evidence that connect him to Avengers: Infinity War. First, his ski cap has the new Avengers: Infinity War logo printed on it.

Also notice the Starbucks location: Peachtree City, Georgia. This town is adjacent to Fayetteville, Georgia where Avengers: Infinity War is currently shooting at Pinewood Studios.

Maybe Rooker was merely visiting the set and got the cap as a souvenir. That’s doubtful considering Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista are confirmed to appear as Star-Lord, Gamora and Drax, respectively in Avengers: Infinity War. Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper will likely lend their voices as Baby Groot and Rocket, while Karen Gillian, a newer member of the Guardians, is also confirmed.

With Yondu and Nebula on board it’s a safe bet that Pom Klementieff as Mantis will also appear in Avengers: Infinity War. The only question is how much screen time the Guardians will actually get versus their Avengers counterparts.
