Spotting superheroes on the set of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in Detroit, Michigan has proven nigh impossible since production began. Rather than sulk in a corner, we’ll have to settle for the next best thing: the first image of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne.
The image starting making the rounds on social media this afternoon and clearly depicts Affleck in business attire, surrounded by a film crew. Affleck’s hair style is already drawing comparisons to the character’s depiction in Batman: The Animated Series. He sports a similar hairstyle and dress the character is often seen wearing in that series.
It should also be noted that Affleck and the crew are standing front of wreckage created for the shoot. Part of the wreckage is of a building with a sign that reads “Wayne Financial,” yet there’s a Metropolis police car nearby. The obvious answer to this riddle is that something destructive happened in Metropolis and Wayne is visiting his damaged building in that city as a result.
Snyder and his crew have done a masterful job at keeping Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice spoilers off the Internet thus far. The first images of Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman were all first officially released via Snyder’s Twitter account. It could be awhile before another official image comes along so let’s savor these unofficial pics while they last.
