Final ‘Kong: Skull Island’ Trailer is a Monster Beat Down

Final Kong: Skull Island Trailer

Humans are definitely out of their element in the final Kong: Skull Island trailer where the King puts a beat down on a squad of helicopters like they’re annoying swarming gnats on a hot summer afternoon.

It’s a miracle that any of the humans visiting Skull island survive their initial contact with King Kong including a shady businessman (John Goodman), a former SAS operative-turned-animal tracker (Tom Hiddleston), a brave photojournalist (Brie Larson) and the military muscle (Samuel L. Jackson).

You’ll notice there’s little dialogue and much monster-on-monster and monster-on-human action in this trailer as Warner Bros. continues to push Kong: Skull Island as a summer blockbuster-come-early. Early reviews have been favorable including a must-see post-credits scene that opens up a much bigger monstrous world.

Just when you think there might be too much action along comes John C. Reilly as the marooned local loon with a humorous tongue and opposition to any kind of blade touching his face.

I will throw out a spoiler warning on this final Kong: Skull Island trailer. Some minor plot points are revealed and at least one never-before-seen monster makes a brief appearance in a very engaging way.

Kong: Skull Island stomps into theaters in less than two weeks on March 10th.
