Everyone’s favorite dysfunctional intergalactic family will be back in a little over two months when writer/director James Gunn’s sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 blasts in theaters.
Star Chris Pratt stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to deliver the final Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer that quickly buzzed around the Internet. Like the extended Super Bowl spot it is set to Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain and expertly weaves action and laughs together.
The most impressive aspect of not only this final GOTG2 trailer but all of the film’s marketing is that the plot is being kept entirely under wraps. Some of the beats are obvious by now, but what the Guardians are fighting for and exactly who they are up against remains in the shadows.
GOTG2 also stars Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillian, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker, Glenn Close, Sean Gunn, Elizabeth Debicki and Kurt Russell. Look for it in theaters beginning May 5th.
