The Force has been calling us a lot this past week with the latest new Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens tease delivering yet more new footage spliced in with what we’ve already seen.
It was first touted earlier this week and on Thursday evening the ABC Star Wars: The Force Awakens TV spot debuted to become the latest collection of footage we can’t stop watching over and over again. It doesn’t even matter that much of the footage comes from previous trailers and TV spots; as a whole is simply works.
The new footage includes Rey, Finn and BB-8 getting thrown to the ground by a Tie Fighter blast, General Leia’s Resistance war room complete with an Admiral Ackbar sighting, Han Solo making an offering to Rey as only he can, BB-8 rolling down some stairs, Han and Chewie engaged in combat, Finn’s Tie Fighter escape, and some alternate looks at previously released scenes.
It appears all of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage from this new TV spot deliberately sticks to scenes and settings we’ve seen before. Disney and Lucasfilm are doing a great job at keeping much of the film under wraps so surprises will remain when we watch the completed film for the first time.
