Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced many of the new properties coming to LEGO Dimensions in 2016 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U. Some of them were previously leaked but others in the LEGO Dimensions 2016 lineup come as a big surprise.
The September 27, 2016 launch date will be headlined by a Ghostbusters Story Pack based on the upcoming reboot film. The Pack allows players to navigate through six puzzle-packed levels and include new physical LEGO bricks to build Zhu’s Chinese Restaurant atop the LEGO Toy Pad in order to spruce it up for a new year.
The Ghostbusters Story Pack replaces a new Starter Pack as you’ll still need the core game released in fall 2015 to play any of the LEGO Dimensions 2016 products. All the LEGO Dimensions 2016 new releases can play in any of the 2015 levels and vice-versa.
New gameplay additions include unlockable Battle Arenas for split-screen four-player action. These are unlocked with new golden Toy Tags available in the wave 6 through 9 expansion packs. Each Battle Arena comes with four different gameplay modes, and Abby Yates, included with the Ghostbusters Story Pack, will unlock one of the Battle Arenas.

- The A-Team Fun Pack
Others properties joining the LEGO Dimensions 2016 lineup that stretches all the way into summer 2017 include The Goonies, Sonic The Hedgehog, Teen Titans Go!, LEGO City Undercover, Knight Rider, The Powerpuff Girls, Gremlins, Beetlejuice, The LEGO Batman Movie, and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. The Harry Potter expansion, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will receive its own Story Pack in November or December.
