Today marks the official release of LEGO Dimensions Wave 7 in stores and the arrival of several new high profile franchises into the toys-to-life video game.
Leading the way is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Harry Potter prequel Story Pack based on the film that also releases today. It includes six levels, a Newt Scamander LEGO minifigure and LEGO build of the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA) that can sit atop the LEGO Toy Pad.
Newt is joined by Tina Goldstein whose minifigure appears in a new LEGO Dimensions Fun Pack.
Sonic the Hedgehog also makes his LEGO Dimensions and LEGO minifigure debut with his own Level Pack. A trailer for the Sonic Level Pack, likely to be the most sought-after item in Wave 7, can be watched below.
Pop culture classics also making their LEGO Dimensions and minifigure debut include E.T. The Extra Terrestrial and Gremlins i.e. Gizmo and Stripe. Gremlins is a Team Pack while E.T. is a Fun Pack. Both unlock a themed Adventure World filled with familiar locations from their respective films.
Last but not least is the final figure in the Adventure Time series, Marceline the Vampire Queen.
