Assassin’s Creed Unity Preview: The Story Trailer Is Here

With less than 30 days until the next installment of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed story hits the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with Assassin’s Creed Unity, we here at TheHDRoom are launching our extensive month-long preview of the hotly anticipated game. Today, we bring you the recently released story trailer, which puts players at the precipice of the French Revolution as they control Arno, the newest assassin as he tries to rid France of the templars who aim to subjugate a French population ready for revolt. Arno will interact with Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, the Marquis De Sade, and even a french general named Napoleon Bonaparte, who will one day become Emperor of France, as we discover in the new trailer.

The footage and gameplay we saw at E3 in Los Angeles this past June has us incredibly excited for the new game, and our month-long coverage will highlight the story, gameplay, and we’ll even dabble into the other new AC game hitting this fall, Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Rogue will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and will bring the end to the “New World Trilogy” started in Assassin’s Creed III and continued in the truly sublime Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Rogue is also the first game that allows players to take control of a templar (well, for a full game. The first seven hours of ACIII doesn’t count).

Come back later this week when we get into the gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Unity and the new co-op mode that will change how the game is played forever.

Vive la Assassin’s Creed!
