Default King Kong: Jan 20

With the extended cut:

This should be a decent seller

I have the HD DVD and it's reference quality. This may be a double dip depending on whether the extended cut is an actual improvement.

I just checked and the extended cut runs 13 more minutes. The only major additions to the film are two more sequences on Skull Island. The first comes shortly after Driscoll and company embark on their rescue mission. They get their initial taste of what the island has to offer when they run afoul of a triceratops. The second sequence shows our intrepid heroes attempting to cross a swamp in makeshift rafts only to be attacked by a Piranhadon. Others are minor scene extensions.

I'm not sure there is a poll option that matches my opinion. The closest would be the last. I got the hd-dvd free and sold it. I saw the movie in the theater and was totally underwhelmed. I think LOTR set the bar too high and my expectations couldn't be matched for the followup. I'll admit the hd-dvd did look stunning but it wasn't enough to make me want to sit through it again. I don't hate it but I have no interest in owning it.
