Does everyone think this HOME will actually pan out for Sony? Does it have a solid date yet? I'm not up on the latest PS3 news, but the system is coming up on 2 years old and I'd like to actually use home, not just hear how cool it will be at conventions

I'm not sold on this feature. It seems like it will just be added menus for whatever movie or game you are playing. If I put a disc in the tray I want to access it right away and I don't want to play house to access that disc...

In the end I will try it just to see what the hype is about...

From an "Insider" on the beta who updates me once in awhile on HOME has just given me a rather unexciting update today. Like I said before it's hard to get excited about HOME after the delays and mediocre news. The Insider's past updates to me had some cool looking beta pics, but over the past few months, it seems little has changed. They're sounding bored with it

Home looks like the SIMS with real people. That has zero appeal to me. I really don't care about building a virtual apartment and person in a virtual world. I want to see my stats/achievements/trophies, that's it. Call me a simpleton.

So TGS08 is here now, and once again we hear more about HOME features. How long does this crap take? Am I confused, or is there STILL no release date? I'm almost waiting for Sony to pull the plug on it, it's been so long.

I'd say before year's end but that is pure speculation.

With so many games to play and movies to watch, I really don't see myself wasting time walking around in HOME.

Wow. Home seems to be a glitchy mess so far. I assume it's the server loads, but I downloaded it nearly 4 hours ago and still haven't been able to actually connect.

Hopefully the madness will subside by tomorrow. Still, Sony needs to get some more oomph in their servers.
