Hi BR7,

Sorry, I didn't see your post until now. I thought Cuckoo's Nest looked really good for a film that is approaching the 35-year old mark. Thought it had a really nice film-like quality to it. As for the audio, it was good. Trying to remember if they left it at mono or if they remixed it for 5.1. I'm pretty sure it was mono but it was nice and clear.

My only real complaint is that the only extra is the documentary they made for the Pioneer SE laserdisc back in the 90s. I would figure a film like this should merit a little more in the extras department.

Still, well worth picking up if it's one of your favorite films.

Gave my wife her birthday presents a day early yesterday so we ended up watching Dark Crystal and most of Labyrinth last night (with Nightmare Before Christmas being kept for Hallowe'en). Lots of fun - the Dark Crystal transfer was the stronger of the two IMO and my wife was noticing details she had missed in past viewings.
