Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (BD) - Excellent transfer, plus it's finally being presented in it's OAR. One of the best original installments.

The Uninvited (MAX HD) - What I thought was a by the book been there, done that suspense film turn out to have a hell of a twist. Elizabeth Bank's evil persona was utterly believable. Not a great film, but not too bad either.

Perfect Getaway - Digital Screener. Well the damn file keeps cutting out 45minutes into the movie, but I've enjoyed it so far. I'll have to try again tomorrow.

Star Trek Generations (BD) - Worthy successor to the original franchise. A lot of plot holes, but great sfx. Presentation was great with aggressive lfe.

The screener worked tonight. I liked this movie. Good twist, but was a bit rushed. I forgot how much I liked Timothy Olyphant as an actor.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop (StarzHD) - Cute with a couple of chuckles, but that's about it.

Up In The Air: this is the new Jason Reitman film starring George Clooney as a corporate downsizer. Excellent from start to finish. Performances were great across the board as was the screenplay adaptation (co-written by Reitman) and the direction. If "Juno" was a big step up for Reitman from "Thank You For Smoking" (itself a good film), then "Up In The Air" is a quantum leap up from "Juno". Best bit: the script isn't written in Diablo Cody's alien language.

The film opens sometime in December. I keep hearing everything from the start of December to Christmas Day. Whenever it opens, check it out. It's one of the best films I have seen so far this year.

I actually just watched that for the first time a few weeks ago (on DVD). To me, it felt like a long two-part tv episode, not a theatrically released film.
