The 75th anniversary of Batman in DC Comics continues to churn out great product announcements even as the celebration winds down with the new year approaching. The latest Dark Knight product revealed is the 1989 Batman Diamond Luxe Edition Blu-ray starring Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson and Kim Basinger that not only celebrates 75 years of the Bat, but 25 years of this classic film from Tim Burton.
As its name implies, this latest 1989 Batman release comes in Warner’s new Diamond Luxe premium Blu-ray packaging designed specifically for collectors that take pride in how their Blu-rays appear on a collection shelf. The film audio and video transfer is identical to the previous Blu-ray editions.
There is one all-new bonus feature included on a second disc that is appropriate considering the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film from director Zack Snyder.
